Making infused olive oil from home can be fun!

Want to try making flavored olive oil from home? Growing up, my mom used to make so many varieties of home-made saurkrauts, fermented garlic pickling in soy sauce and used almost all the fresh ingredients grown in our garden in the backyard.

These days, there are so many premium extra-virgin olive oils in the marketplace, it's not difficult making olive oils at home.

Olive oil can be used with variety of citruses like oranges or lemon but it's also very popular seeing infused olive oils made with fresh herbs like basil, rosemary, sage, fennel, thyme and tarragon.

It's also fun to make olive oil at home.

If you just don't have the time to make your own infused olive oil from home, there are some excellent quality flavored olive oils in specialty stores online that deliver quality flavored olive oils.

How To Store Home-Made Flavored Olive Oil

If you plan on making flavored olive oil from home be sure to be more sensitive with storage. It doesn't last as long as those purchased from a store and they should be refrigerated as opposed to store-purchased olive oils, which do not need to be refrigerated.

You should think about eating the home-made version within a few weeks or a month because they tend to go rancid faster especially if not stored properly.

First of all, you don't want to waste anything you've made at home since you've put some time and effort into making your own infused olive oil. Second, it might be hazardous to your health to eat anything that's gone bad.

Be sure to use a very clean bottle to store your olive oil.

Any olive oils that you purchase from a market should be fine as long as it's used within the time that's appropriately label on the bottle.
